MAGICAL POND NATURE IGLOOS, Ruka

Magical Pond Nature Igloos, designed by Kanttia 2 Architects, features igloos that blend into the forest. There are 20 igloos with a size of 15m2, each accommodating two adults and one child under 12. Pets are allowed for an additional fee. Each igloo includes a small fridge (minibar), coffee machine, kettle, and crockery. The bathroom has a toilet, shower, and hairdryer, with shampoo/shower gel. Igloos also have a small wardrobe, curtains, and reading lights. Upon request, a travel cot, pot, and microwave can be provided. The igloos show the trees all covered under the snow, as well as birds and animals.

Magical Pond Nature Igloos offers a restaurant called Kataja Restaurant where visitors can enjoy the meal. The Lounge is next to the igloos where visitors can relax. During the winter season, snack plates made from local ingredients and tasty soups are served. The drinks menu has wines, cognacs, rums and crafted drinks. Local food is part of the experience. A full breakfast is available. Dinners are served for the guests of the igloo village as well as other visitors and larger groups.

Magical Pond Nature Igloos includes a Finnish sauna with forest views and a bar, where you can soothe achy muscles whilst watching the beautiful forest and can cool down at the terrace. It offers an outdoor hot tub. The property offers a fireplace, a pond beach and pier where you can bask in the sun. Guests can experience the scenic trails with fatbikes included. You can lit up outside fireplace for grilling some Finnish sausages or marshmallows. You can use the grill/campfire area by the pond. You can experience the calming effect of ice swimming.

Magical Pond Nature Igloos is 30 km from Kuusamo. Kuusamo offers a range of activities, such as downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiles, spa, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, that can be found in Ruka Ski Resort. In the area, you can explore scenery for moving around in nature, which includes berry picking. Bus service runs from the end of November until the end of March on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Magical Pond Nature Igloos provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The property also offers a private beach area and water sports facilities.
